In Bolivia’s Andean mountains, at the risk of their lives, two women travel some of the country’s most dangerous roads. After stocking up on supplies in La Paz, the highest city in the world, Maria, a shopkeeper, returns to her village in the highlands of the Yungas. She is one of the few women in Bolivia who dares to drive on these trails that disappear into the clouds. Lourdes, on the other hand, braves the infamous "Camino de la Muerte" (Death Road) to support women gold miners. The road to the mines is an arduous journey—a true via crucis—where broken-down trucks and landslides frequently block the way.
